BAB 116 I An Act

The atmosphere was tense this morning as Jaxon was fixated on Mia, seated to the side of the table and facing the man giving her a hunter’s gaze.

When Mia discovered Jaxon’s ravenous gaze that never stopped tracking every small move she inadvertently made, her body throbbed down to her spine. Starting with when she places a bottle of salt and pepper on the table or when she bites her bottom lip before deciding on a breakfast.

Mia averted Jaxon's gaze, which appeared to want to stretch across the table if they were alone there. Fortunately, she was surrounded by numerous security as Emily was making their lunch in the kitchen.

Mia cleared her throat, tired of being gazed at incessantly, and attempted to cool the environment that Jaxon had purposefully inflamed.

“Are you going out tonight?” Mia inquired, without moving her head from the dish on the table, because she couldn’t face looking into Jaxon’s dark, desire-filled eyes.

“Why are you avoiding me, Dolcezza?”
