BAB 135 I Just Family Issue

Mia stared out the window, her face expressionless. She’s been doing it since the morning, making some people who know her hesitant to approach her. In fact, her sad expression made everyone around her cautious.

When Mia took her deep breath, she was suddenly approached by a middle-aged man carrying a tray of dessert and drinks. The man sat down on the chair directly in front of her.

Before leaving Blueberry, Mia’s former boss, Matt, said, “You look exhausted. Rest upstairs. I’ve prepared a room on the second floor for you.”

Mia only offered a shaky smile.

She eventually returned to the small town. Mia can only ask the man in front of her for assistance.

Rey was about to take Mia to a hotel before going to Deli, but she politely declined. In fact, the woman considered renting her old apartment, but Rey insisted that Mia not return there. Too dangerous, said the man.

“You know your presence can attracted your father. Is that what you want?” Rey asked as they arrived in the small town.
