BAB 35 I Their Little Moment

In the kitchen, Jaxon drank almost a bottle of mineral water.  He moved restlessly, before finally choosing to sit on the kitchen island chair.  His lips still trembled, numb from the kiss.  He cursed himself for getting out of control.  Luckily, Mia didn't slap him, or even screaming not to show his face again.

The sound of footsteps from the living room made Jaxon's shoulders tense, but relaxed again when he realized it wasn't Mia's step. Jaxon could recognize a person's steps, so he knew who was coming before he saw first.

“What's wrong Joe?”  Jaxon went to the oven and decided to prepare Mia's dinner as promised.

“There is an invitation for you Mr.  Bradwood,” Joe replied as he placed a silver invitation on the table.

Jaxon glanced at the paper briefly then focused back on the task at hand.

“Okay,” said Jaxon sounding unconcerned.
