Few hours later, the manager handed Tom his pay cheque while looking anywhere but at him.

For a reason, his shirt and tie felt tight on his neck and he was certain if he did not leave Tom’s side soon, he could choke on his fear.

After separating the fight and restoring order to the place, the police had sent home every customer in the bar after a terse warning to them and of course to Tom.

“The only reason I am not hurling your sorry ass to the cell right now to sleep it off is because according to witness, you were attacked first and secondly, this will be your first offence as far as I know, so I will overlook this misdemeanour and leave you, for now. But know that im going to keep my eyes on you henceforth and next time, you might not be so lucky.” The police had told Tom coldly and oblivious to the Manager’s fear of Tom,
