Chapter 31 –  I Should Not, I Could Not

(Lexi’s POV)

“You should have told me you’re having lunch with Finn,” Lexa puckered her lips to apply red lipstick. “And Frank.”

I twitched my lips as I glanced at Lexa’s reflection in the mirror. It was the longest lunch in my life that I hardly tasted the mouthwatering meal because I was too annoyed, and no one dared talk except Finn and Frank, who would occasionally answer his questions.

“You’ve met Frank before,” I said, taking the lipstick from her hand and putting it back in my purse.

She narrowed her eyes and turned to me instead of looking at me from our reflection.

“What’s that supposed to mean?” She asked as if there was something more about my question.

“At the party,” I shrugged and twitched my lips again, but I couldn’t help creasing my forehead. “You’ve met Olivia there, and…” I stopped and looked her in the eyes. “You know Frank.”

“Nope. I didn’t know him until now, and I didn’t meet him at the party,” she said as she brushed her hair with her fingers. “But I like him -
