Seventy Four : Dangerous

I woke up with such a nightmare that I don't want to remember about it anymore.

I sat up on my bed, with my breath racing and my eyes stinging and swollen while the world outside the bedroom window was still dark. The digital clock on the nightstand still read four in the morning, and I still had two hours of sleep.

I took a breath. The uneasy and bad feeling still worsens my chest and makes me uncomfortable. I held my breath. Calmness and a kind of deep sleep without sleeping pills I can't find anymore. My head is so full of thoughts about my and Reagan's engagement, about Rhysand too. I let out a slow breath. The anxiety is still not gone.

Rafaella was still sleeping comfortably hugging her bolster pillow. Her open mouth and the way the roar of her breathing reached my ears told me that she was sleeping very, very soundly.
