On a phone call

Their eyes were glued to the television, they held onto the game controller pad firmly with their hands as if their lives depended on it. Sebastian’s eyes were wide open and his legs were spread open in anxiety. His car was in front of Stephanie’s but he wasn’t quite satisfied before she was catching up with him very fast. Stephanie laughed loudly as she saw how Sebastian struggled hard to keep his position in front of her. She was about to talk when Sebastian’s phone made a loud noise. He startled in fear of his ringtone, and the pad fell from his hand.

“F**k!” He yelled. He ignored his phone and picked up the pad, but before he could continue playing, Stephanie had overtaken his car and was so close to the finish line. “Yes!” She screamed as she crossed the finish line. She tapped his shoulder in excitement, and he scoffed angrily. “You should be thankful, my phone saved you.
