A knock on the door

At first I knew she was pregnant but she really got me when she said she will prove it by giving me the rest result. My heart was beating but I managed to hide the reaction on my face.

She took a brown envelope and gave it to me. I opened it and scanned through it only to realize that it was fake. She wanted to prank me. That's when I started regaining my sanity. The write up was so suspicious. Doctor's don't write letters that way.

I asked her for the original and she hesitated before smiling at me, confirming that am saying the truth.

"Yeah, am carrying your baby!" She said and was filled with happiness. I was so excited that I didn't know when I picked her up and swung her around. 

"This really calls for celebration! A boy or a girl?" I asked her.
