“Good morning,” Kayden greeted first with a satisfied smirk on his face when he noticed his wife was all dressed up and ready for work. “You are late for breakfast.”

“I am going to have breakfast with Paige and the others,” Crystal said as she climbed down the stairs. She continued to approach him and stopped in front of him. She offered him a small envelope with the handwritten apology he requested, causing his smile to widen even more.

He eagerly opened it, read it with a smile, and then tucked it away.

“Apology accepted,” he declared before turning on his heels, leaving first.
