“Did anything happen between you two?” Paige asked curiously as she walked Crystal outside and Crystal shrugged, Paige looked down at Crystal’s now trembling hands. “Your hands are stiff, aren’t they?”

“Yes, they are.” She confessed as Paige palmed them in an attempt to improve the blood flow.

“You should soak them in warm water.”

“I still have to work tonight.” She declared and Paige eyes widened.

“You know you shouldn’t work in your current situation, do you want to die?” Paige queried her voice hitting a very high note attracting the attention of the other workers that were casually walking by. “I thought you wanted to go to the bastard and tell him to take you off the project?”

“I wanted to do just that too but then I realized that, that is exactly what he wanted and I won’t give him the joy or satisfaction of trampling over me.” She said confidently. “I am confident in my own skills; I will give him a design that will shut him up for good.”
