Lea’s point of view:

I placed his phone on the bedside table.

I stood up to give Ryder some space. It was evident that he did not want my help yet, I wanted to help him.

I took a long deep breath before deciding to go against his order.

As much as he wanted me to leave him alone, I couldn’t just leave him in his misery.

With the help of the moonlight, I proceeded to examine the wound. I grimaced. It was gross to look at. I’ve been bloodily hurt multiple times by my father but it was my first time seeing a wound this deep with blood pooling from the inside before flowing out.

I rummaged through the bathroom cupboards to look for the first aid kit Ryder had used before to clean the wounds on my wrists.
