"Emanuele?"

Amanda's voice on the phone sounds once again, more concerned and more distressed. The girl's cry is so heartfelt that it is impossible to answer.

Still with trembling fingers of anger, revolt, and hurt at having some stupid paper throwing in her face that her father was some anonymous person in the world, Emanuele finally manages to take a little breath.

This nightmare had to end; nothing could last for long. She had to wake up, and fast! But it was getting more and more difficult and unbearable.

Sniffling repeatedly and doing her best to wipe the insistent tears that were falling down her cheeks, the girl finally manages to answer.

"I'm here."

"What happened? Why are you crying?"

Emanuele scrunches her face.

"Because I don't have a father, Amanda."

"What? What do you mean, everyone has a father."

"Yes, but I don't know who it is, and apparently even motherhood doesn't know. My father is unknown. I don't even know if he was present the day I was born."
