The Conversation

Joshua and Emanuele are facing each other at the living room table. A glass of water is in front of each of them, but neither has taken a sip. The current owner told her that he would tell her what was going on, and she was ready to listen... Or at least she thought she was ready.

"I'm not going to tell you everything. But... Just a part of it. So that you can understand why this... Commotion."

The words he says come out hard and slurred, as if it's hard to sit there, sitting at home with a guest instead of going out smashing all the furniture in front of her. She nods, showing that she understands how complicated it is for him.

Joshua takes a deep breath.

"You're right. You got that part of the story straight, although I guess it was kind of obvious after... After you met with Rosita."

The man takes a sip of his water and stares into nothingness as he continues his account:
