Chapter 44

Kimberly freshened up and walked to the kitchen even without checking the list, her mind was not at ease so she didn’t check the results. She washed tomatoes and other groceries to make breakfast but her mind was not with her.

Stanley walked downstairs and was about to check on Kimberly In her bedroom when he spotted her in the kitchen.

‘What are you cooking?’ he asked but she didn’t reply as she did not notice his presence.

‘Kimberly,’ he called out before she regained herself and stared at him ‘What?’ she asked confused.

‘What are you thinking about?’ he asked and walked towards her. ‘Uhm…nothing, you shouldn’t be here’ she said and took a few steps from him.

‘It is my house," he reminded her, she nodded and decided to place her attention on her cooking.

‘Move aside, your mind is in a mess and you will ruin the food’ Stanley said and picked an apron before putting it on. Kimberly was surprised, was he going to cook?
