A humble distraction

In the midst of his distraction, Michel's voice broke through the haze. "Liam, are you even listening?" he asked, his tone tinged with concern.

Liam blinked, shaking himself from his reverie. "Sorry, Michel. My mind drifted for a moment. What were you saying?"

Michel sighed, his tone softer now. "I know things have been tough for you, Liam, but seeking solace in the arms of a stripper isn't the answer. You need to confront the issues in your marriage head-on. Talk to Rose. Find a way to rebuild the connection you once had."

Liam swallowed hard, his conscience weighing heavily on him. He knew Michel was right; he couldn't continue down this destructive path. It was time to face the truth and salvage his relationship before it was too late.

"Michel, you're right," Liam admitted, his voice laced with remorse. "I've been searching for answers in all the wrong places. It's time for me to have an honest conversation with Rose, to address the issues we've been avoiding."
