The castle of devils

After Roland’s response settled into Ava’s mind, she felt like she could finally breathe, and it was not because he told her that he could die for her, but it was about the fact that he truly had her back.

Ava honestly smiled at Roland, and in that instant, he hugged her tightly for about two minutes before letting go of Ava.

“So, do you feel ready now?” Roland asked.

“Give me a second to get my hair done, then I can answer your question.” Ava replied.

“Okay. Meet me downstairs when you are ready.”

“Sure.”

Roland stood up to his feet and then walked out of the room.

Once the door shut, the smile on Ava's face slowly faded. She got up from the stool and approached the dresser.

When Ava gazed at her reflection in the mirror, she started to feel her insecurities and fear creeping back into her heart.

“Snap out of it! Roland said that he’s going to protect you. So trust that he will.” Ava mumbled.
