After a while, I stopped paying attention to Rika's case. It no longer had any relevance to me. Initially, I was quite apprehensive about this unusual case, but over time, that sense of worry faded away. Sometimes, it would just become a topic of conversation during our meals.

However, that doesn't mean I forgot. Occasionally, glimpses of something would trigger thoughts of that horrifying case, sending shivers down my spine.

"Regarding resigning, can you reconsider, Flora?" My boss leaned forward, speaking gently, and I couldn't ignore his demeanor.

"What's there to think about? I've already completed the collaborative project with the DIZ Corporation, and any unfinished tasks have been handed over to others." I replied matter-of-factly. He had no more grounds to question me as I had successfully accomplished all the important tasks.
