Zylith.
Liana looked every bit reluctant that she was, she eyed the parcel in her hands as if it were a ticking time bomb just waiting to explode at any given second. I raised an amused brow at her funny antics, I knew that trying to sneak a peek at her parcel was an invasion of her privacy, but I couldn't help but feel more determined to know what was inside that forbidden parcel as I watched her solo freak-out show.
"Do open it Liana, what are you waiting for?" I said in a sly tone.
Even though she wanted to rebut my order she was unable to as I was her superior and she was my maid, hence unwillingly enough, she slowly opened the said parcel.
The parcel was beautifully wrapped in multi-coloured paper and looked utterly girly if you ask me, nevertheless it can be seen from the way it was gift-wrapped that the sen
Zylith."What is this?" My instructor, who looked like the smocking-hot live version of Superman in his flowery-youth, stared back at me with a look of utter disappointment, and I in turn, bit my lips in culpable sheepishness."What's the matter?" Alexteris on the other hand, was acting as the rogue catalyst that fuelled this raging 'Superman's' fire."Have a look for yourself, Your Majesty." He handed my test paper over to Alexteris to let him take a look."Oh! What do we have here?" He squinted his impish weasel eyes at my test paper in absolute mirth and read out loud to further enhance my embarrassment over my given answers."Q. What is the name of the battle that met it's conclusion i
Zylith."Your Highness, I have brought you what you asked me for," Liana came in with a set of worn-out faded attire this morning, the clothes in which I was supposed to make my escapade today. Yes folks, I'm slipping out of the castle to a secret endeavor today. Today, as it was my day off and I didn't need to attend to any imperial affairs nor did I have any lessons with my demon instructor, it was the weekend kind of day for me, in other words, just the right day to get drunk and party hard. Hohohoho!I had been cooped up in this golden prison ever since I had last entered the castle, so last night I decided to take a trip out of the palace to get some fresh air into my system. Now, its not like no one kn
Zylith. Our mount for today's excursion was an exotic horse breed of pure white, it's coat was a gorgeous silvery-white and it was beautiful from the mane to it's tail. I peered at the majestic steed grazing leisurely in front of me and exclaimed, "Woah! Was a beautiful mare!""It is your stallion, Your Highness." Fredurd informed me."What! Really?" I whipped my head to look towards him in surprise. I never knew I had an exclusive horse just for me to ride."Oh yes. Weren't you aware?" Fredurd spoke, "His Majesty specifically ordered this mare from the Isles of Cianiens, they rear the best breeds of horses in the entire continent."I raised a brow to that. Wow! What a surprise. I never thought Reuben to be thou
Zylith."I say my friend," I slung my thin arms around Fredurd's long neck while consequently made him stoop a bit in the process and said with a wide unrestrained smile, "Ashes to Ashes, Dust to dust, when life's in a ditch, booze is a must."We currently stood in front of a big fancy inn with the name 'Immortal Gnome Brewery' carved beautifully on a posh plank board hung on top of its entrance. It seemed like a pretty well-to-do inn with lots of customers streaming in and out of the place. I smiled a bit wider as I stared at the lively atmosphere of the street filled with the voices of folk's merrymaking and people who walked as if the ground was the deck of a storm-tossed boat. Each foot came to the sidewalk as if the collision of shoe and concrete wasn't entirely anticipated and the person
Zylith.I'm a very forgiving person, I really am, but... there are somethings even I can't digest without a qualm; such as knowing that Fredurd was appointed to be my personal knight not because he was promoted, but because he was demoted.I could no longer maintain the smile on my face when I heard Fredurd's words.".......What did you just say?" I asked in a slow foreboding voice."I was punished to be the first Queen's personal knight. Whuwaaaaa!" He repeated again and the words almost pierced through my poor heart."....It was a punishment?.....""Yes Your Highness, at first I thought it was ridiculous that I was appointed as your personal sworn knight as my punishment, it seemed more like a promotion to me as well. But after I met you, I finally understood that it really was meant to
Zylith. As I gawked at my crazed knight howling like a jackal as he claimed, I mentally prayed to all the Gods I was familiar with to let me safely pass this ordeal. How in Heaven's name was I gonna drag this big loony muddled knight back to the castle undetected? I inwardly sweated thinking about what was to come after he came back to his senses."Fred Fred! Listen to me Fredurd. If you stop wailing, I will tell you a sure-fire method to appease Liana, not just that, Liana will even start liking you I swear." I grabbed hold onto Fredurd and tried to calm him down. But he was a big strong warrior, how would I, a frail muscle-less lady, be able to hold him down if he didn't want to be held down. He was thrashing and howling with bloodshot eyes, his face messed up with wet tears streaming down his ruddy cheeks.
Reuben. [I]When we finally arrived here, the gloomy state of Calavaria greeted us masked in its glum.We reached the port province of Calavaria in less than three weeks after we had embarked on the journey to here. Normally it takes an utmost of two weeks to reach this little bustling province but travelling shrouded in an unassailable disguise across the country had slowed down our pace quite a lot; as such, we arrived later than our assessed date of arrival.I dismounted from my horse and my sight fell upon the run-down city gates of Calavaria. The people of Calavaria did not seem like the ones I saw three years back. The cobblestones of the streets were cracked and dilapidated. A gust of dry wind winded through the maze of ancient houses where windows ha
REUBEN. [II]Drizzles of raindrops wetted the dusty roads of the port city of Calavaria with splashes and gently tapped against the window of my dwelling room at present. I looked out at the soft evening shower trickling down my window with a grim temperament, there was a laziness about the drizzle that somehow brought upon an inadvertent gloom about them."Sire, the recount is ready in its utmost detail. We have uncovered everything that is to be uncovered about this bizarre scenario." Gilbert reported in a grey manner while I languidly held my bare arm out of the little bedroom window and let the droplets splatter on my outstretched fingers.I silently urged him to continue on his report and as he got the cue, he continued, "This plague cal
