Be Okay

I slammed my shoulder into the door, feeling the wood crack and splinter under the force of my impact. The door burst open, and I stumbled into the room.

And there she was, my sweet Zelda, bound and gagged, her face covered by a hood. My heart stopped, my blood running cold. I rushed to her, pulling the hood off her head. Her eyes were wide with terror, her skin pale and drawn.

“Zelda,” I gasped, my voice breaking. I untied her hands and feet, my hands shaking with fear and adrenaline.

I held Zelda close, her body trembling in my arms. I could feel her heartbeat, fast and erratic, against my chest. As my guards apprehended the culprit, I gently stroked Zelda's hair, trying to soothe her. Her skin was clammy, her eyes hollow.

As I held her, I noticed the bloodstains on her clothes, the fabric torn and ragged. I pressed my face to her hair, breathing in the familiar scent of her, trying to reassure myself that she was still here, still alive.

“Zelda,” I said, my voice shaking.
