Coco hadn’t expected herself to be attending a charity gala. It was something that she would usually watch online for fun.

"Who else from the film crew is invited?" Coco asked.

"Rowan Palmer," Minnie replied.

"That's all?" Coco blinked.

"Yeah," Minnie confirmed.

It made sense for Rowan to be invited as he was one of the top celebrities, but it was odd that the director, producer, and female lead weren't invited while Coco, the original comic author, was.

Seeing her friend's confusion, Minnie explained, "Actually, I think the people in the industry know that you’re dating Lucas. So, they would naturally invite you to such an event."

Coco suddenly grasped the situation. "Can I not attend, though?" After all, the thought of facing reporters, cameras, and random questions made her tremble.

"You can ask Lucas for his opinion. Attending such a big event could be good for your social circle," Minnie suggested.

That evening, when Lucas came to pick Coco up for dinner, Coco asked him, "I recei
