Chapter 13: Call

"We're here."

Yeah, we are here—so fast that I did not even realize we had stopped in front of the house. Our whole trip was so quiet that even though we were always like that every time I was in his car, I was still not used to it. And this time, it’s different because there seems to be a heavy atmosphere between us which I could not figure out why.

I just put it aside at the moment and heaved a deep sigh. 

"Thank you for the ride and the dress, sir. I'll go ahead," I bid goodbye to him and was about to open
