RISSA'S POV

He’s lucky we made it out of that river alive, else I would have killed him.

After walking for hours to try to find a comfortable place to crash for the night, Drax ended it all by stepping into a trap. I would normally say it serves him right, and that’s what he gets for mistreating a lady, but his predicament affected the both of us, so I let it slide.

We couldn’t get him out of the trap—even though he shifted, and his wolf tried to break free—so we had no option but to crash there for the night. Then the next morning, I had to go and find some food for the both of us. It made me more furious, but I had to hold it in because I still needed him on this trip.

A little while after we had finished eating, we heard some footsteps. I went to hide behind a tree, and in a short while I saw four dangerous-looking young men coming towards the trap. They looked like rogues.

Fuck! We’re screwed.
