Mia's POV

I held Rick's gaze, but he looked away and began strolling away. At first, I wanted to walk the opposite direction, but I didn't want to cause a scene, so I strolled behind. As I followed him to the car I tried to communicate with my wolf, but she was silent, but I could feel her presence with me. Perhaps she hasn't healed from the trauma yet.

I reached the spot where Simone parked and saw him standing beside the car having a conversation with Alpha Ricardo.

I stood a bit away from the car, waiting for him to teleport away, but he opened the car and hopped into the back seat.

''You must be kidding me.'' I grumbled, still standing on the spot. ''Let's go, miss Mia.'' Simone notified. Left with no choice, I made my way to the car, opened the other side of the car and got in.

I sat at the other end of the car while Alpha Ricardo sat at the other end. The atmosphere was awkward for me because it'd been over three years since we sat in the same car.
