Mia’s POV

He slammed the glass of wine in his hand to the floor, and yet, I didn’t flinch. "If only I was careful enough, this wouldn’t have happened." He spoke with so many regrets in his voice, which got me curious, wanting to know what he meant. He held my gaze for a second and shook his head. "I wish to be left alone." He ordered, but I didn’t move an inch. I knew I must hear all he had to say, and I would do anything to get him to talk.

"Lady Mia and I were close." I said, getting his attention, "She told me you sold her to Lord Dickson, and he showed the video to her." I said and saw the stunned look in his eyes. I couldn’t tell if he was surprised that I knew his secret, or if he was shocked at my words.

"I sold her?" He asked while holding my gaze with a furious look, "She told you that?" he asked while I nodded, waiting for him to defend himself, but he didn’t say a word; instead, he teleported away.
