It was five minutes before 7 and Gloria heard the sound of a car entering her driveway.

She was sitting in front of her mirror wearing a champagne color sleeveless gown.

She has tied her hair in a neat bun and has worn a simple earring with light makeup to complete her look.

She looked at her son and get up to talk with him.

She didn’t want to go, but she also knew if she disagreed then her grandmom would have pestered her until she gave up.

“Daniel, Mom will leave for the party. Is it Ok if you stay with your great-grandpa?” She asked nervously.

She has never left Daniel alone as they were the only ones back then in Australia.

Though she knew her grandparents will take care of him she didn’t want to offend her son.

“Don’t worry, mom. I am OK. You go and have fun.” He said, looking up from his tablet and again returning to watching his cartoon.

“You shouldn’t look at the screen for so long. Play downstairs.” Gloria said and Daniel shut the device and get off the bed.
