“Where’s Cayne?” Jilly asked aloud to anyone that could hear her. She needed him, where was he when she woke up? He was not beside her and not waking her up. She had a problem with that.
“You should not scold him, child. He was just opening the door for me.” Mariah tried to spare her son-in-law. Jilly was known best for her torture in many ways and she would not back down or back away from it when she was determined to do the job.
“I was just asking about him, Mama Ria. Is it wrong?” Jilly turned to Mariah again who had a worried look. She did feel guilty a little bit for putting Cayne on the edge.
