Chapter 110

Mpumi was back with Dion in the hospital. Dion did see that she was bothered.

He managed to get her to talk, “Give me a child.”

A silence. He was speechless.

“I will miss having you around. You have become such a big part of me. Get me pregnant, I want it. I want to carry your child. Leave me with a part of you.”

Dion brought his palm onto her cheek, she was close enough, he was reaching in to kiss her. He realised that she was shaking. “Mpumi?”

“Yes?”

“You were sent.”

Hesitation from the lady, and finally, she nodded.

“Who would force you to do this?”

No answer.

He made sense out of this himself, “Bowman—my father?”

A silence.

“He is a bully, that one. You should not let him.” He let her go. She gave a silent sigh of relief.
