Chapter 62

Dion was hospitalized for the injuries he obtained after the electric shock he suffered. Vincent and Dave would be alone at home that night. They were heading home, while discussing their feelings along the way. They were very devasted at the accident. They tried conversing to figure things out.

Dave had lost faith in Mpumi, “She said she would go to church with us. She doesn’t want us anymore. Don’t you think she put that cable there to hurt dad?”

“Anyone could’ve gotten hurt.”

“Then, it should’ve been me! She wanted to me dead, not daddy! Vincent, it all makes sense now!”

“Dave, come on. Shut up.”

“But, Vincent—”

“Shut up! You know, I’d never let anyone hurt you. What are you saying about me? You mean I’m too weak to protect you? Come on, man.”

Their journey continued to stretch through the busy crowds.
