Chapter 5

"......"

When I heard what Claude said, I really wanted to give up.

Claude was a man who had no conscience. If he had a conscience, he wouldn't have done this to me, and her baby wouldn't be dead.

"So that's it. " I wiped the tears from my face and laughed, but my smile was even worse than my cry. "I'm not giving you this house. Don't even think about it."

"Nat, I remember all the things you've done for me. I don't want it to be too ugly. I'm even willing to pay you more. If you do not agree, I have no choice but to expel you from the pack, "Claude said with a deep look on his face." If you do, you will not have the only compensation. Don't be so stubborn."

"You..." I was shaking with anger.

But there was nothing I could do about them. Claude was right.

I was so stupid! I gave Claude too much trust!

So, now I have nothing, even at their mercy. I can't even summon my own Wolf. How am I supposed to fight Claude and Vicky now? How am I going to avenge my children if I can't keep the only house my mother gave me?

All of a sudden I felt like I was in a dark and desperate situation.

"I advise you to be sensible. You can't beat me. I can take whatever I like, yours or not..." Vicky came over, leaned into my ear, curled her lips and whispered, "Claude, your kids, and now the house."

"Vicky, I'll kill you." I heard myself saying.

"Claude!" Vicky immediately threw herself into Claude's arms in fear, shaking all over, as if she was really afraid of me.

Claude caught me by the arm and said coldly, "I advise you to calm down, or I will hurt you."

"Hahaha..." I laughed, tears streaming down my face, I clenched my teeth: "You're welcome? How else can you treat me? You've robbed me of everything I value. Claude, I hate you... I wish I have never met you."

"......"

Before I could finish my sentence, Vicky raised her hand and slapped me hard across the face. "You shut up... All this was my idea, hate me if you want, it had nothing to do with Claude."

Vicky slapped me so hard that my ears started ringing and I was confused. I felt a burning pain in my face.

I hated Vicky and Claude so much that when I looked at them, the hatred in my eyes was almost congealed into substance. I calmed down and forced myself to say coldly, "Vicky... Claude... What you have done to me today, I will remember, sooner or later, I will let you back a thousand times, a hundred times, you wait for it..."

My need for revenge has arose, more than anything else.

I would have given my soul to the devil for revenge, just so that Claude and Vicky could not get what they wanted.

Claude seemed surprised for a moment by the hatred in my eyes.

"Show Natalie out." Claude was afraid that I would go crazy again and hurt Vicky. He immediately asked his guards to pull me out and asked: "Don't let Natalie in again."

Vicky laughs, with the confidence and ease of a winner.

As a loser, I have never smiled like this. Even when I was around Claude, I never smiled like that.

"Let me go, I own this house, how can you do this to me..." I struggled hard.

"Not now." Vicky smirks.

The worse I look, the happier she'll be.

Just then, Claude's phone rings. He takes it out and sees the caller ID. His expression changes slightly, and he looks cautious.

Claude stepped aside and got on the phone.

After sometime, he said gravely to the guard who was holding me. "You let her go. You don't have to chase her away."

After that, Claude took Vicky's hand again and said, "Vicky, things have changed. Let's go today."

"Why?" Vicky asks, puzzled.

"I'll explain to you later!" Claude is rarely very tough with Vicky.

Vicky grunts with displeasure but leaves with Claude after all.

When I was left alone in the home, I could not help but sit in the corner, the whole person huddled together, silent, sad palpitations cry out...

I don't know how long I cried. My head was in a fog. My eyes were filled with tears.

Suddenly, a mellow, magnetic voice rang out from the room: "Stupid! You've been crying for more than three hours. How long are you going to keep crying?"

I was startled and looked up at once.

Now it was getting dark and the light in the room was very dim. I could see nothing clearly except a tall figure standing in front of me.

"MK?" I gave a tentative cry.

"Yes, it was me." The figure walked up to me and picked me up around the waist. "Don't sit on the ground. It's too cold and it's bad for you."

I was afraid of falling, so I couldn't help but put my arms around MK's neck.

MK walked in the dark, carried me back to my room and put me on the bed. Then he asked, "Are you satisfied with the first gift I gave you?"

"What do you mean? I asked, full of doubt.

I didn't get any presents today.

After asking, it suddenly occurred to me that Claude left today because of a phone call, so I asked tentatively: "You mean this house?"

"Yes."

MK sat down beside me, and I felt the bed sag a little, and my body tensed up a little.

"Did you make that call?" I pressed, really curious about MK's identity.

The Furies Pack, where Claude owns it, has grown rapidly over the past few years, quickly becoming the most powerful Pack. I know how much work I've put into it. As The Alpha of The Furies Pack, there were few people who could threaten Claude, and everyone had to fear him.

There were only a handful of people in California who could get Claude to compromise.

"It wasn't me. I had someone make the call." MK admitted lightly.

"Who the are you?" I couldn't help but asking.
