Chapter Sixty Four

(Cara's POV)

The thought alone scared me—that I could be with Teo's child.

But the probability that it would be so was too low.

"You wanted to tell me something?" Rollins asked, and I shook my head.

"No, it wasn't really important."

He didn't seem to buy it.

"You look pale? What is wrong? Is it the old witch?"

"Probably," I lied.

"You don't have to worry about that one bit," he says.

"But what if she is right?" I asked; the idea was to change the topic; I couldn't let him see my fears and worries.

"What do you mean?"

"I don't know whether I am right or not either, but strange things have been happening earlier; I don't even have a clue how she knew about me."

"It's all my fault; I shouldn't have brought her here. I do know there is something more to you, but that was ridiculous."

"Rollins," I called, "would you forgive me if I made you very very angry?" I asked, and his eyes darkened. I held my breath, worrying if I had given out too much information.
