CHAPTER 52

CLEVER'S POV

I KNOCKED ON THE DOOR of my twin's room, but I got no answer. I sighed deeply and opened it. I saw him lying down, as usual, he was hugging our family's photo.

I called his attention, "Clave," and when he turned to face me, he sat down. I sat next to him and smiled at him. "What do you want to know? Ask me. You said we'd talk about it, right?" I added. He smiled bitterly and appeared to be thinking something.

I regret for what I did and for hiding the truth from him. I've been wanting to tell him that before, but I'm only driven by dread.

"Sinong pumatay sa kanila? O ano 'yung ikinamatay nila?" Unang tanong niya, hindi ko alam kung masasagot ko ba 'to.

A few minutes before I could give him an answer. I don't want to lie either.

"They killed them, based on what I saw and heard in his story, dad joined a group then because dad was strong and they seemed to be jealous of him so that's why they fought. That's what I heard from the people who attacked to us then," I told. He
