Chapter 9 Wait for That Indecent Pair

The receptionist gave him a curious look and searched on the computer for a while. He looked up and replied politely, "Sir, there is only one room left on the seventh floor with a back window. The location is not very good. Since it's against the lift, it can be a little noisy!"

"Great, I just like living next to the lift. I'll take that one!" Li Mu said as he handed over his ID card and bank card together.

"Sir, may I ask how many days you want to stay?"

"One night. I'll leave tomorrow!"

"Okay, please wait a moment!"

The receptionist quickly completed the procedures and gave back Li Mu his ID card along with his room card, "Sorry to have kept you waiting, Sir. Your room number is 701. It's the first one on the right out of the lift!"

Li Mu thanked her, took the room card and walked towards the lift.

After exiting the lift, he opened room 701 straight away, closed the door first and looked out through the peephole right away. It was a very good position to observe two lifts very clearly.

He then went back over to the window and looked down. It was positioned directly opposite the car park and enabled him to monitor the incoming as well as outgoing cars at a glance.

He looked at his watch and surmised that the indecent pair should not have returned to the hotel at such a high pace, as only twenty minutes had passed.

He went to the supermarket downstairs, bought two boxes of cigarettes and a few drinks, packed them in a shopping bag and went back to his room.

Li Mu leaned on the windowsill. He drank some drinks to refresh himself, then tore open the cigarette packet wrapper, lit a cigarette and sat there waiting for that indecent pair.

Ding-ding! A beep came from his mobile phone. Li Mu looked down and couldn't help but complain.

It turned out to be a low battery warning, reminding him that the battery was already less than 20%.

From last night until now, he had not thought of charging his phone, and now the charger was still in his luggage, which he had thrown to Fang Qiang. Things became daunting!

Audio and video recording are very power-consuming. It was impossible to record something with this little amount of battery power. Perhaps, he would be able to do nothing but just watch them aside when he caught them in bed.

Li Mu called the front desk hurriedly to borrow a charging cable. The receptionist replied politely, "Sorry, sir, but we have lent out all the charging cables. Please wait and we will inform you when they are returned."

Putting the phone down, Li Mu was so annoyed that he wanted to slap himself. How could he forget to carry such an important thing? How could he catch adultery red-handed without his phone?

When he was struggling, his unlucky phone rang again because someone was putting a call in.

Li Mu was so angry that he almost smashed his phone. He thought to himself, "Who is that? You have got me into a fix. Don't you know that my phone is running out of battery?" He looked at the screen. It was He Xiaoyu.

At the moment he was just about to reject the call, he immediately thought of something. That girl was almost exactly the same as Lin Wan in terms of stubbornness. It might even say that she went farther than Lin Wan.

If you refused to answer her call, she would keep on calling endlessly until the remaining battery was consumed.

Li Mu thought, "Forget it. I'd better answer it and try to keep the conversation short, so I can save some battery power."

"You're back?" Li Mu asked directly.

"I just left the airport. Where are you? I'm coming to get you!" answered He Xiaoyu.

Li Mu subconsciously decided to refuse her. But after the second thought, he realized that Xiaoyu must have a charger. The airport was not far from here. Why not let her rush over? Maybe there was still time to charge his phone.

"Room 701 of the Fuhao Hotel. Bring your charger. My phone is running out of battery."

"Have you eaten yet?" He Xiaoyu asked.

"I don't want to eat. Come over quickly. By the way, try to find some excuses if you run into Lin Wan in the hotel!" Li Mu replied.

"Got it. See you later!" said He Xiaoyu.
