Aaron's POV.

I stared at her from where I stood, while she looked at the window.

Her recovery seemed faster than usual, but it wasn't clear to me why I couldn't stop staring at her. There was just something about her that brought her closer to me.

“M-mary?” I finally called with worry on my face. There was no doubt. That there was something wrong. She seemed to be lost in thought for a while. Besides that, she was a wolf, and couldn't even notice my presence.

“Oh, um…” She blinked twice, trying to understand whatever I was saying in the first place.

“I'm sorry. Have you been there for a long period of time?” she asked with raised brows, making me nod?
