Candy opened her eyes in the middle of the night and stared at Damon, who was lying beside her. She sat up and waved her hands around his face.

Seeing that he was asleep, she quickly got out of bed and tiptoed towards the door. The key to the door was left inside the lock, so she turned it as quietly as she could. Afterward, she opened the door and left the room.

Once she was outside the room, she ran as fast as she could towards the exit door. But when she got there, it was locked. She tried her best to pull it open, but she couldn't, as it was a very sturdy door. She looked around for any other means of escape. She went towards the windows, but they all had bars on them.

She ran towards the kitchen to check, but even the windows of the kitchen had protective bars. She went into all the open rooms in the house but still could not find any means of escape. After spending almost an hour trying to escape unsuccessfully, she walked back to the living room and sat on the floor, crying.
