Earlier, when Zach entered the compound, he stood by the gate and felt uneasy about leaving Paige alone in the car. So, he sent a text to her new bodyguard saying:

Afterward, he walked towards the back of the house. When he got there, he saw a man approaching him with a knife. It seemed like the man had been waiting for him.

He stopped walking while the man kept moving toward him. Just as the man got closer, Zach heard footsteps from behind and realized someone else was coming.

He turned his back on both men and began to move away from them, while the two men, who held knives in their hands, approached him from both sides.

After creating some distance between himself and both of them, Zach watched as they kept walking towards him. Finally, he took out a gun from the back of his pants and pointed it at them.
