Ember's POV

My wolf had been edgy the whole morning so I decided not to come downstairs for breakfast. My peace was short-lived when I heard the footsteps of Sonia approaching my room. After my outburst, she had stylishly stayed away from me.

She knocked on the door quietly and I paused, "Come in, Sonia."I replied.

She pushed the door open swiftly and I smiled at her. She was obviously feeling very happy that I was a bit cheerful at least I pretended to because I didn't want to make the pack uncomfortable for her.

My mind wandered to the side. "I don't want to dine with them. Tell the Alpha that I am a bit under the weather." I replied.

She raised a brow and stared at me, her eyes assessing me from head to toe. "Are you sure that you're okay, ma'am?" She replied in concern.
