CHAPTER FIFTY-ONE

Nicole clasped her hand to her mouth. Gripping it tightly and hoping no, praying desperately to the moon goddess that they didn't hear her. Her whole body jittered uncontrollably and she could barely keep her hands on her face.

"What!" Caleb growled, rattling the room.

"Lies!" He spat, "Father doted on mother, he almost died when that illness took her."

Mendez shrugged,

"I believe we're done here," he said, picking up the napkin and wiping his mouth.

"No," Caleb growled, his coming to the surface. "I want proof!"

Mendez sneered,

"Tell your wolf to taper down, the only way you'll get any other thing from me is if you agree to my terms. I'll give you 48 hours to make your decision. See you then," he said, getting to his feet.

"Sit Mendez." Caleb's wolf demanded.

Mendez chuckled, ignoring him as he straightened his clothes.

Growling, Caleb grabbed his cuffs. "It's not possible! Why should I believe you!"
