CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY-ONE

Emily's day ended quickly and quietly as it had been for the past few days. After a slew of lessons in Scarlet, she'd come home exhausted. And still in awe of how her mind remained alert through the lessons, especially since she was already feeling fatigued as she walked into Scarlett. As soon as she returned she fell to the bed and slept off, forgetting to call her mother or look at Andrew's gifts.

She woke up with a start the next morning. She'd dreamt and it was a Nightmare. The nightmare was long and repetitive, which was the worst of its kind. Every detail of it was now ingrained in her head.

Drenched in a cold sweat, Emily trembled between her sheets. She wasn't one to dream frequently and when she did it came to pass, 8 out of 10 times. She swallowed, her throat felt scratchy and her temperature had fallen to the ice. Her head thudded like it was going to burst out of her shirt and she clutched the sheets to her chest.
