Chapter 30

A brown humvee drove into the dark underground garage of Douglas's pack house.

"It's good to be home!" Caleb declared as he alighted from the back seat.

Larry and Dominic exchanged looks that looked like a sneer. Abruptly, the lights flickered on.

"You were supposed to return days ago. Did you not know this?" Douglas's voice boomed from the door leading into the house, startling them.

"Alpha," they greeted simultaneously, bowing their heads as a sign of respect.

Dominic and Larry, simultaneously stared at Caleb leaning on the car.

"Caleb was being Caleb." Dominic spat out.

"Father," Caleb said with a wide grin.

The old alpha stepped out, his face set as stone.

"I need both of you here, there's a lot of preparations ongoing, that's why I asked you to return in the first place." He said, ignoring Caleb.

"Dom, take the SUV and drive down to Nicole's house. You'll be escorting her on errands from now on." Dominic nodded.
