Chapter 18

CORNI'S POV

Her eyebrows furrowed as she glared at me. “Answer me, Ciana!”

“I'm not going to wear your mark, Corni, if this is what you're going to use it for.” She turned on her heels and walked to our bedroom, slamming the door.

I glared at the now empty hallway, my fist clenched tightly, and my knuckles turned white.

_So there's nothing between us._

I turned towards the door and walked out, heading for the gym that was behind the house. I grabbed a pair of trousers on the way.

I spent the rest of my day in the gym and with my men, a few of them.

I looked around and noticed Marcel wasn't with us. And he was the youngest of the soldiers, 20 years old and free-spirited. He looked like the best companion for Ciana. Both of them were probably gisting, or eating snacks, or planning something too.
