Elijah’s POV

I dashed to my room, heart pounding like a drum, each step echoing in the silence of the house. The guard's words lingered in my mind, a chilling reminder of the danger that lurked within our pack. Pushing open the door, a scene straight out of a nightmare greeted me an empty room painted in crimson hues, a stark contrast to the usual calm that filled these walls.
