Evelyn’s POV

“My lady, what would you like for dinner?” Lilian asked calmly.

“Just get me whatever is left,” I said to Lilian as I lay on the bed, my mind was consumed by the events of the past week. The incident with Dante had left me feeling uncertain about our future. He had promised to marry me, but his silence when I mentioned Vanessa spoke volumes. I couldn't shake the feeling that he was still holding on to her, unable to move on.

The weight of my doubts and insecurities pressed down on me, making it hard to breathe. I knew I needed to do something to make Dante take our relationship seriously, to make him see that I was worth choosing over Vanessa. And that's when the idea of dropping the bombshell hit me with the "I am pregnant" card.
