Dante’s POV

“Don’t you think this is a bad idea?” Elijah asked as we stood outside Jake's palace, we made a conscious decision to go in alone. Bringing my guards along would have surely raised suspicions and alerted Jake to our true intentions. Disguised as guards ourselves, we aimed to blend in and avoid drawing unnecessary attention.

“It could be but this is the only choice we have,” I said as I signaled to him to follow me.

With caution in our steps, I led the way towards the back door, remembering Evelyn's words about its lack of heavy guarding, when she told me how she escaped, It seemed like the perfect entry point for our mission to rescue Elijah's queen. Sneaking through the door, I could feel the weight of the task at hand, knowing that our success hinged on our ability to remain undetected.
