Chapter 5

My Lycan Prince

Chapter five.

I‘ve never in all my life seen a place so beautiful. Isla Martago is far from a small island, it's a huge island in the middle of the ocean. It's so breathtaking….the beauty of it.

The breeze that comes off the water is cool and it ruffles through my hair as I hang further out the window to get a better view of the city. Buildings stand tall along with statues and a flag. It's a gold flag with a black crest in the middle along with the name Isla Martago. Archer hasn’t said a word since we got into the limousine but that goes two ways I guess and I haven’t said anything to him either but I have been kinda busy staring at this beautiful place that I get to call home.

The limousine maintained a good speed as the driver whipped in and out of lanes earning some honks from cars he had cut off. The sun was setting making the ocean look like the burnt orange sky. I inhaled a deep breath closing my eyes, imprinting this picture in my mind.

Wyatt would have loved this place.

A tear escaped and fell down my cheek as we passed by all the buildings night had fallen but the limousine hadn’t stopped yet.

“Where are we going?”

“Isla palace,” Archer replied.

I glance over at Archer. He hasn't looked up from his phone and I take this moment to stare at his beautiful sculpted face square jawline sharp pointed nose perfect plump lips. Archer was definitely hot.

“Like what you see?”

My eyes widened and cheeks heated. He caught me gawking at him….great.

Ignoring him I stare back out the window but it’s too dark to see anything now and I sigh.

“Sedrick can take you on a tour of the city if you’d like,” Archer says as he places his phone inside his jacket pocket.

I turn to face this beautiful creature and my brows furrow.

“Why can’t you take me?”

“I’m afraid I have meetings and paperwork to attend while my father is away,” He replied.

I nod.

“I can get Wade and Jenny to show me around,”

“I’ll still have to send a palace guard to make sure your protected,”

“Archer, I'm not royalty, why do I need a bodyguard?”

His eyes changed color so fast they went from blue to green and his body stiffened and he stared down at me like I’m something to eat.

“Archer?”

When he didn't respond I scooted back toward the door to put some space between us.

Archer grabs my hips and pulls me on his lap. I tried to move but his grip tightened, holding me in place my heart was pounding so hard. Archer leans the tip of his nose rub softly against my neck as he inhales deep.

“Archer,” I whispered but my voice faltered.

I’ve never been this close to anyone before or sit on a man’s lap for that matter. My stomach was twisting in knots and this uneasy feeling bubbled through my veins.

“I’m not Archer,” Archer's mouth moved but that was not Archer's voice or his eyes.

Archer told me on the plane that Lycans wolves can talk through them which sets the Lycans apart from werewolves but Archer told me I couldn’t meet his wolf because he thought I wasn’t ready.

So why is his wolf here now?

“Your Archer’s wolf?”

“My name is Lunar.” He nods.

I tried to move from his lap again but that only caused him to grip my tighter.

I stare up at him through my lashes.

“Archer said I couldn’t meet you. He said I wasn’t ready,”

Lunar grins.

“Archer isn’t happy with me right now. You see Lily, he sees you as a delicate flower that must be handled with care. I on the other hand want to pluck away your soft delicate petals to touch and savor you, for I have searched for decades for you,” Lunar exclaimed and a deep rattle lingered in his chest.

“How old are you?”

“Two hundred and sixteen,” He answers calmly.

I swallow and the lump in my throat grows.

“Why have you been searching for me?”

“Perhaps I could explain another time. Archer is fighting me for control back.” Lunar says. His voice is rough and raspy yet it sounds so alluring.

Not knowing what to say I nodded my head and moments later Archer Blue eyes were staring back at me.

It takes me a second to regain my composure. I attempted to move yet again but still failed. I looked up Archer.

“What did he say to you?”

“You couldn’t hear him?”

Archer shakes his head.

“Not when he blocks me out. Now answer the question Lily, what did he say to you?”

“He only grabbed me and forced me to sit on his lap and told me his name was Lunar,”

Archer raises his brow.

“He didn’t say anything else? Did he..”

I shake my head.

“He didn’t hurt me if that's what you're asking,” I replied.

Archer sighs in relief.

“Should I fear him?” I ask.

“No,” Archer shakes his head.

“Only when his eyes are black should you be afraid,”

I chuckled but Archer wasn’t laughing.

“I’m serious,” He says.

I shake my head.

“They were green. But he did tell me you think of me as a delicate flower that must be handled with care,”

“And you believed him?”

I shrug my shoulders.

“I don’t know you well.”

“You know me enough,” Archer replied.

“Can I move now?”

“Of course,” Archer removed his hands from my hips and I slid back into my seat.

“I’m sorry that you had to meet Lunar that way. That’s not how I wanted you to meet him,” Archer apologized.

“It’s okay,” I shake my head.

“You should sleep we won’t be at the palace for a while,”

I nod and lean my head against the window and close my eyes.

I sit for a while trying to fall asleep but I couldn’t get comfortable enough to doze off I stretched on the seat and laid my head on Archers lap he was on the phone but my sudden movements caused him to tense and he stopped talking mid sentence it only lasted for a second and he started talking again and me? I finally got comfortable enough to fall asleep.
