Chapter 43: Meet and Greet

Amber’s pov:

I got back to painting after I regained my composure. It took up over three hours of my time to finish half of it, and then, I hit my head on the pillow.

“Amber…” Mhm, I open my eyes. “I’ve got some work to finish,” Alessandro whispers in my ear. “Right now?” I question. “Yeah, I’ll be back in a few hours,” he says. I squish his face, and say, “Be back as soon as possible.” He chuckles, and says, “I will.” Then, I go back to sleep.

“Amber…Goodbye, I will miss you,” Alessandro speaks with tears in his eyes. “No, Alessandro, don’t leave me!” Amber’s shrieks are dismissed by the howling wind. “Alessandro!” She screams but her voice falls into the void.

The rays of the sun on my face wake me up, and I see that the bed is cold without his presence. My worry turns into fear as I am wide awake and recall my dream. I rush to my phone and call him. No response.
