“Are you sure you want to do this?” I asked Cassie as she packed the last of her belongings into the suitcase she had bought.

“I don't have a choice,” she said softly, her heartbreak evident in her voice. “If he loved me it would be a different story, but he doesn't. I can't stay with a man who doesn't love me.”
