I stared at how she snored softly with her head laid back. She said she had seen me. Did she know she was right?

She could be.

I shook my head and parked the car. I turned to tap her but paused for a while. Even if I wake her up, she still won't be completely awake. I sighed and stepped down from the car. I opened the door to the passenger's seat and carried her.

She mumbled incoherent words, I lifted her properly and made my way to her entrance. I picked out the key from her dangling purse and opened the door. Stepping in, I turned on the lights and saw that Johnny was not home.

That was good.

I went into her room and slowly laid her on the bed. Her phone began to vibrate. I looked at the caller's ID. It was her foster mother. I contemplated picking it but that would spark some unwanted discussion now. Just as I was about to disconnect it, the door bell rang and I released a deep breath
