51 - JEREMIAH
JEREMIAH
I stir a little as the bed seems to move and a warm body slides in next to me. It feels wonderful, and that scent is back tenfold. I wait for her to stop moving and then I wrap my arms around her, pulling her tight into my body. I then take a deep breath and slip back into the darkness.
I wake with the craving; it is made even more potent with the movement of the warm body. I still have my arms wrapped tightly around. I feel my fangs lengthen and start kissing her neck. I whisper against her skin,
“You are already warm, my princess. I like it.”
I am a little surprised when she lets out a moan and tilts her head just a little, allowing me more access. She had never done that before, but I am not one to complain. I smile against her skin and then slowly sink my fangs in and start drinking. She moans again and I can't believe the wonderful taste that explodes in my mouth with my first pull.

EMMA I woke early the next evening and start my schedule, as I am still really sore. I noticed last night that it took me a little longer than normal to finish and be back at the Master's chambers before dawn.I managed to get my entire schedule done both evenings without running into Norman or him calling me into his office. EMMA A week after the Mater returned Norman corner me once more in one of the guest chambers that I entered after cleaning the Master’s chamber and he had been in there checking on the Master. I try to keep my scream in as he grabs my wrists, clamping something around one of them as he walks me backward until my back hits the wall. I whimper as he transfers one of my wrists into the grip he has on the other.I whimper more and more as he runs his now free hand down my body. I can’t stop the tears, and he just smirks. I try to contact Odette, but she doesn’t seem to be there. I can’t believe she has deserted me. JEREMIAH All I see is darkness, I call out, but no one seems to hear me or answer. That is until the most wonderful scent surrounds me. I feel the most softest of touches and wrap my arms around it. Then it doesn’t seem to matter that I am in that darkness as she is with me. She stays with me for I don’t know how long and then disappears.I search through the darkness, inhaling deeply and reaching out, hoping to find her scent or her touch. It seems like a lifetime before it seems to return. My soul seems to relax, as that scent and touch surrounds me once more. I hold it, hold her tight to me once more and notice that while she is within my embrace, the darkness is fading, and a soft light eliminates from her. Then she is gone again.I don’t know how long this keeps going for, but every time I have my arms around her, her touch and her scent make the darkness fade and my surroundings seem to get brighter. JEREMIAH I feel my anger still rising as he continues, “When I fought you, it was not you… And the fact that I managed to get the better of you was proof of that…” “Still, she is mine, and you had no right to interfere…” I feel my eyes flash, and a wave of very strong anger overtakes me. I don’t think I just lunge at him. I connect with his jaw before he realises what is happening, but it doesn’t take long for him to block and fight back. We go back and forth, dodging and hitting. I am taken by surprise when he manages to hit me hard in the side of the jaw, knocking me to the floor, where I then hit the back of my head. He steps back, still in his fighting stance but not attacking me anymore, but then I was the one to attack him, not the other way round. I go to get up when I am hit by an agonizing sharp pain that rips through me, starting at my head and going down through the rest of my body. I am quickly surrounded by darkness. EMMA His eyes continue to follow his fingers as they skim over his mark before he slowly lifts them to my eyes as he whispers. “This should have been your choice to receive. Yes, I am your mate, as Odette keeps saying, but it still should have been your choice and I am the one who is sorry…” He then leans forward and places a soft kiss on my lips. I can’t stop it now and break down crying. The Master pulls back from his kiss, pulls me more into his chest and just holds me as I cry. I must have passed out as when I woke the next evening, I was wrapped in cool arms. I smile and stretch, letting out a low moan. The arms surrounding me tighten, and I tense as I hear a soft male chuckle behind me. He then places soft kisses on the back of my shoulder and neck, causing tingles to spread over my skin everywhere his lips touch. I whimper and whisper, “Master?” “It is okay, Em.” He continues to place soft kisses on my skin as he whispers, “I’m sorry, I’m so sorry… Please forgive me…”

THIRD PERSON Emma doesn’t know that she is still being watched. He smiles as he sees her hobble into the prince’s chambers and knows that he will be called upon to see to her injuries later. It had actually gone better than he thought it would.Once Emma had disappeared inside, Norman steps out of the shadows and walks down the hall to where her guard, Nathan, is leaning on the wall, smirking. Norman smiles and nods, passing Nathan a small vial of a clear liquid as he passes him, heading to his office.Nathan puts the vial in his pocket and pushes himself off of the wall. Now that the healer has given him what he needed, he calls it a morning and heads to his bed within the warrior wing. JEREMIAH I don’t get an answer to any of my questions, but I do hear a whimper come from Emma. I hold the handle and throw my shoulder into the door. After I have done this a couple of times, I shake my head at myself as I remember that I had the doors reinforced so that no one, not even a vampire, could break them open. I straighten and then reach into my pocket and pull out my keys. I slip the right one into the bedroom lock and open the door. I don't see anything out of the ordinary other than Norman being just a little paler than normal as he steps back from pulling out a bandage from his medical bag. He then steps back up in front of Emma, lifts her hand, and starts wrapping her wrist. I don’t miss how she not only flinches but whimpers as well. Once he is done, he puts what is left of the bandage back in his medical bag, picks it up, and walks over to me.
