Chapter 71

Ezra's POV

"She's going to get her revenge. I know her. We know her," I said as we watch Laura walk away from our sight while stomping her feet.

"She doesn't have the right to do so. She was the one who barge in here without my consent," Ryler replied.

"If she'll attack me again, I'll handle myself," I said.

My eyes are all directed on where Laura was walking out.

"I won't let that happen," Ryler said.

I felt the weight of his gaze on me, making me look at him.

"What?" I asked after realizing he's staring too long.

His eyes scrutinize my face and landed on the cut on the side of my head. I avoided my eyes at him and cleared my throat.

I turn my back and went to the bed to fix the crumpled bedsheet made by Laura when she sat on his bed.

"You really won't tell me who did that?" he asked.

I let myself be busy fixing his bed. When I realize his eyes are still on me, I straighten my back and put my hands on the sides of my waist. I then turn on my back to face him.
