Chapter 47: Part of the Team Pt. 1

I woke up to an empty bed.

My window was open, letting the morning sun and cold breeze flow into the room. Covering my bare chest with my blanket, I rubbed my eyes and sat up on the bed only to find Enzo leaning against the doorframe. He stared at me with his usual amused grin while holding a tin tray of mugs and plates. My nose caught a whiff of hot chocolate, and my stomach growled.

"Good morning," he said, finally pushing himself off of the doorframe and walking across the room towards my bed. I watched as he began to set the plates and utensils on my bedside table. My breakfast consisted of a cup of hot chocolate, eggs, and a salad.

"Thanks," I mumbled quietly, burying myself deeper into my blanket. I didn't quite understand how he could act comfortably being alone in a room with a naked woman under her sheets. My cheeks warmed up and I felt self-conscious. "How long have you been standing there?"
